William Wallace was born about 1513 in Craigie, Ayrshire, Scotland.

He married Margery Kennedy. She was born 1517 in Bargeny, Dailly, Ayrshire, Scotland and died 12 January 1597 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. She was the daughter of Alexander Kennedy and Mariot Dunbar.

Their children were:

John Wallace (born about 1530 in Craigie, Ayrshire, Scotland)
